\nChhaya & Prashant\u2019s Indian wedding at 8 Northumberland Avenue, was the first time I had ever photographed a wedding at the beautiful London venue. A stone\u2019s throw away from Trafalgar Square, they chose the wonderful Grade II listed building of 8 Northumberland Avenue as the backdrop to their wedding day, and it was the perfect choice. I was so happy Chhaya and Prashant booked me after seeing the work I did at Prashant’s sisters Indian wedding at the Landmark Hotel<\/a>, Marylebone last year, it’s always a true honour to be asked to document another wedding within the same family, and I loved spending time with them again and seeing many familiar faces too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chhaya & Prashant\u2019s day started off with a bang, with Prashant\u2019s arrival to 8 Northumberland Avenue with dhol players, a ghetto blaster and his whole entourage walking & dancing down the streets of London, stopping traffic and tourists around them. Once they were greeted by Chhaya\u2019s family and made their way into the beautifully decorated grand ballroom courtesy of Shagun Weddings, I went to capture Chhaya who was getting ready with the help of the extremely talented Mandy of Aphrodites Make Up Artist, before making her entrance into the grand ballroom of 8 Northumberland Avenue. <\/span><\/p>\n

Happiness at wedding\u2019s is one of my favourite things to take photo\u2019s of, I love capturing emotions, and I always want couples to remember how happy they felt at their wedding. At Chhaya and Prashant\u2019s wedding there were definitely a range of emotions, but the main one was happiness, and these guys smiled and laughed throughout the day, from the moment I arrived till the moment I left at 2am in the morning. <\/span><\/p>\n

Their Hindu ceremony was conducted by Parth Joshi Hindu Priest, and it was a pleasure to work alongside him as always along with Shiv Gopal Music. Once the Hindu ceremony had concluded we walked over to a very busy Trafalgar Square, for some portraits, before heading back to 8 Northumberland Avenue to get ready for the evening\u2019s reception. <\/span><\/p>\n

The evening consisted of a live band, dinner, two amazing dance performances from their families, emotional speeches, and an epic party which went on till 2am with plenty of Absinthe shots! What a day this was, and such an honour to be a part of. Massive congratulations to Chhaya and Prashant, thanks so much for having me as your wedding photographer at 8 Northumberland Avenue. <\/span><\/p>\n
