I’m sure I don’t have to list the reasons why weddings in Tuscany are so completely out of this world, but I will anyway. There’s the wine and the food, the views, the incredible historic buildings, the wonderful welcoming atmosphere, the fact it’s only a couple of hours flight from London. Oh and the fact that it’s unbelievably photogenic.
There really is nowhere else like it.
One thing you may not know, however, is that the incredible venues in Tuscany are remarkably versatile. Tuscany is an amazing location to celebrate your wedding with lots of ways to adapt your big day and find a feel that’s right for you.
With so many great venues in the region, here are my top ten Tuscany Wedding Venues to help you decide and get you that one step closer to your dream Tuscany wedding villa.
From the glorious manicured gardens to the breath-taking mural-laden interiors, and the weathered stone pillars, Stomennano is the classic Tuscany wedding villa in a nutshell. The village that gives it its name dates back to 1059, and it claims to be built on ancient Etruscan and Roman ruins. If you want historic and aesthetic authenticity from your Tuscan wedding, this could be your dream come true.

Villa Di Ulignano is named after the hill that it sits on, a hill which affords you and your guests amazing panoramic views of the 17-acre grounds. You’ll be able to explore every inch of it on your own time, since the owners make effort to ensure your stay is relaxing and not hampered by time limits and curfews. Stylish yet very relaxed, di Ulignano manages to create an atmosphere that really is all its own. And it’s pretty handy for both Pisa and Florence airports.

Della Meliana is listed by the Artist and Cultural Heritage Council, one of just a handful of farms in the region that are, so you know it must be pretty special. Its beautiful grounds are surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, but its biggest appeal comes from the 21 apartments and houses in which your guests will be able to stay. Brimming with antique and restored furniture (and plenty of mod cons too) they are all decorated to an incredibly high – quintessentially Tuscan – standard. And there are two swimming pools, to complete the relaxing package.

Montelucci is ideal for foodies. The restaurant is located in an old olive press, and they even offer cookery lessons from the fifteenth century kitchen where the original grindstone is still on display.
Needless to say the food for your wedding will be out of this world, complemented by local wine and olive oil (tastings on request) and stunning views of the lush countryside. Its located between Florence and Siena, and the surrounding hills offer plenty of medieval towns to enjoy from near or far.
There’s a choice of apartments, suites and rooms, all decorated in unique ways, from rustic charm to jaw-droppingly luxurious. And they offer planner services if you need them, so you can relax that bit more knowing you’re in very capable hands.

This stunning 12th Century castle dominates the surrounding landscape, and with its own 16th Century church on the doorstep, it offers one of Tuscany’s simplest and spectacular places to get married.
The church itself holds about 100 people standing, the same as the castle Ground Floor Hall, but if you need a bit more space the First Floor Hall and adjoining rooms have space for an additional 200. Of course, if you book in the summer most of your guests may want to spend their time soaking up the atmosphere of the Courtyard and the garden. There’s a smattering of apartments nearby for guests to stroll back to afterwards, most in old buildings converted for the purpose. Which makes it easily one of the cosiest and most photogenic of all the locations here the perfect choice for your Tuscany wedding villa. https://www.castellodimodanella.it/
Belmond Castello di Casole is one of the largest private estates in Italy, so you won’t be short of space. You and your guests can explore the 4,200 acres at your leisure, savouring sensational food, world-class wine and the luxurious touches that appear everywhere you turn (including a fantastic pool). Weddings themselves are held in the ancient castle, with picture-perfect Tuscan views on all sides, but inside there’s plenty of choice from the grand to the more intimate. Can’t decide? They have experienced wedding planners on hand to help you work it all out, including how to fit your guests into the historic yet petite Chiesa S. Tommaso Church.

The views from Tenuta di Casa Bruciata are truly breath-taking, and whether you’re enjoying them from one of the gorgeous apartment windows, whilst strolling through the gardens, or while lolling in the infinity pool, this is another level of relaxation. A streamlined planning service is on offer if you want someone else to do the stressful stuff, so you can savour everything from the food to the architecture – the main building is a 14th Century fortress with original floors and walls. If you want wow factor, Bruciata has definitely got it – and so will your photographs when you get home.

Castello Il Palagio is located in the heart of Chianti country, so you know the wine and the olives are going to be superb. But rest assured, everything else is too.
The wedding team are happy to decorate the castle according to your theme, but you may want to just make that theme ‘fire’, because this place really knows how to do flames. From the fireplaces to the courtyard lit by hundreds of candles and torches, any wedding here will be as magical and romantic as you could wish for.
It also has fabulous park and gardens, and a consecrated chapel for your service. Getting married in a castle is special no matter where you are, but Castello Il Palagio will make you feel like royalty.
