Minerva Vines Wedding Photographer
Why I Love Minerva Vines in Bath for Weddings
Minerva Vines is one of those venues that just works without needing to try too hard. From a wedding photographer’s perspective, it’s the kind of place where the light, the space, and the atmosphere all come together naturally — and that makes a huge difference on a wedding day.
What I love about it most is how open everything feels. You’re surrounded by rows of vines, rolling countryside, and this sense of calm that you don’t always get at more traditional venues. It gives couples (and guests) room to breathe, which always leads to more natural moments — the kind that don’t feel forced or staged. And that’s exactly where the best photos come from.
The ceremony space, especially when it’s outdoors, has this really effortless beauty to it. You don’t need loads of styling or overthinking — the setting already does a lot of the work. As a photographer, that means I can focus less on fixing things and more on observing what’s actually happening. The reactions, the emotions, the in-between moments… they all stand out more when the surroundings aren’t competing for attention.
And then there’s golden hour. This is where Minerva Vines really comes into its own. The way the light drops across the vineyard, soft and warm, creates the kind of conditions I’m always chasing. It’s perfect for those quiet couple portraits that don’t feel like a photoshoot — just a chance to step away for a few minutes and take it all in.
Even the reception space carries that same energy. It feels relaxed, unpretentious, and full of character — which means people let go a bit more. And when people feel comfortable, everything becomes more real. The laughter’s louder, the hugs last longer, the dance floor gets messier — all the things that actually make a wedding memorable.
For me, venues like Minerva Vines aren’t just about how they look — it’s about how they feel. And this is one of those places where everything just flows. You don’t have to force moments here… they happen on their own.
The Orangery at Minerva Vines
The Orangery is one of those spaces that just works, whatever kind of day you’re planning. It’s beautifully designed and incredibly flexible — comfortably hosting around 120 guests for 2026 weddings, and up to 150 from 2027 onwards.
What I love about it is how naturally everything flows. You can start with drinks inside, spill out onto the terrace for dinner in the open air, or even use the outdoor space for a sunset ceremony with the vineyard as your backdrop. Nothing ever feels forced or overly structured — it all just moves.
And as the light starts to fade, the whole space shifts. The Orangery takes on this warm, candlelit feel that feels intimate but still elevated, with the inside and outside blending together in a way that keeps the energy going well into the evening. It’s the kind of setting where the atmosphere builds without you even realising it — and that always makes for a better wedding.
My Style – Natural Wedding Photography
All weddings are unique and I want to create beautiful natural images that are especially unique to you. All weddings are amazing, and I absolutely love finding out that a couple wants to book me for theirs. My aim as a documentary photographer with an editorial eye is to create a visual story of your wedding day to take you back and remind you of how you felt.
I try to make my approach to every wedding as personal as possible. My approach at all weddings is much like journalism. By trying to document the event without imposing on it, I can capture more authentic moments, without distracting – or annoying – you or your guests. I’m very aware of how uncomfortable a staged moment can feel, and when you’re looking back at your photos years from now I want every moment to feel meaningful and honest. You can click here if you want to read more about my natural wedding documentary approach, which has been recognised globally with numerous wedding photography awards.
It’s a joy and a privilege doing what I do, and few things give me more pleasure than showing someone the photos from their big day, transporting them straight back into those memories, some of the most precious they will ever have. I want everyone to be blown away by your photos, most of all you. Whether I’m working as an Indian wedding photographer, or on the road shooting destinations around the world, I just want to do your day – and your love – justice.
