Weddings at The Astbury are a joy to capture because the venue combines elegance, space, and a sense of calm that makes everything feel effortless. Set within beautiful Shropshire countryside, it offers a blend of sweeping views, manicured grounds, and stylish interiors – a dream for creating varied and dynamic wedding photographs. The clubhouse, with its modern yet refined design, gives you clean lines, natural light, and a warm atmosphere for capturing everything from morning preparations to lively evening receptions. Step outside, and you’re greeted with rolling hills, open skies, and the kind of landscapes that make golden-hour portraits feel cinematic.

What excites me most as a photographer about The Astbury is the versatility. You can shoot wide, romantic frames against the backdrop of the golf course or intimate, candid moments tucked into the softer corners of the grounds. The venue flows seamlessly from ceremony to celebration, so there’s always a fresh perspective to capture without feeling confined to one space. Above all, it’s a place where the setting elevates the emotion – the laughter, the quiet exchanges, the dance-floor energy – and lets you create images that are both timeless and deeply personal. Natural Wedding Photography at The Astbury, Shropshire

All weddings are unique and I want to create beautiful natural images that are especially unique to you. All weddings are amazing, and I absolutely love finding out that a couple wants to book me for theirs. My aim as a photographer is to create a visual story of your wedding day to take you back and remind you of how you felt.

I try to make my approach to every wedding as personal as possible. My approach at all weddings is much like journalism. By trying to document the event without imposing on it, I can capture more authentic moments, without distracting – or annoying – you or your guests. It’s a joy and a privilege doing what I do, and few things give me more pleasure than showing someone the photos from their big day, transporting them straight back into those memories, some of the most precious they will ever have.
