Azul Fives, Playa Del Carmen | South Asian Wedding | Suneera & Faizal

Suneera and Faizal decided to take their family and closest friends to Mexico, for 3 days of partying to celebrate their love for one another at the beautiful Azul Fives resort, Playa Del Carmen. However, 2 days before the wedding, the tropical rain started, and it didn’t stop, until the day after their wedding, plans were changed, venue’s were shuffled, but it was clear to see that this was not going to spoil the mood for the 3 days of epic-ness that was about to follow.

On the morning of the wedding it seemed the weather would not be on our side, but just before the ceremony, the rain stopped, allowing Suneera and Faizal to see each other dressed up for the ‘first look’ on the pier. After sharing a brief moment with one another, we started to feel the rain, and it was time for their ceremony to begin. Their wedding officiated by Faizal’s brother in-law, complete with personal vows, was full of emotion and laughter.

After the ceremony, all the guests were transported to Moroma Marina, due to the pouring rain. This didn’t dampen the mood at all, because what followed was something I have never witnessed before at a wedding reception. The reception was a full on party, that reminded me of partying in Vegas, there were shots, personalised shutter shades for everyone, more shots, one of the best dhol players i’ve ever heard, champagne, more shots, in a nutshell everyone young and old went wild and didn’t stop until 3am! It was absolutely crazy to say the least!

Suneera and Faizal, thank you from the bottom of my heart for including me in your wedding and allowing me to document your day, introducing me to your wonderfully crazy friends and family, and well, for throwing one of the best parties I have every witnessed! I feel so blessed to have met you guys and am able to call you my friends, congratulations once again on your marriage, I can’t wait for us to all meet up again soon!
