Lake Como | Wedding Photography | Villa Carlotta
“All our family and friends enjoyed having you there, it was just like you were part of our friends group! They were all saying it was wicked having both you and Yanni there with us shooting all the best moments, Saturday night at the club included haha!!”
Ever since I visited Lake Como 2yrs ago with my wife, i’ve always dreamt about photographing a wedding here. So naturally when Shinal and Shalin chose me as their destination wedding photographer, I was super excited and honoured.
Shinal & Shalin, chose the beautiful Villa Carlotta in Lake Como, Italy to celebrate their civil registry wedding. Villa Carlotta was built at the end of the XVII century, situated between Lake Como and the Italian Alps, facing the peninsula of Bellagio. The villa has a magnificent botanic garden and a museum with various art masterpieces on 70,000 square metres of land.
The plan was originally to hold their ceremony outside on the terrace which overlooked the lake and Bellagio in the distance, but on the day, the plans had changed to hold the ceremony inside as the weather threatened to rain. 10 minutes before the ceremony, one of Shalin’s best-men, made a decision to hold the ceremony outside, and made the venue staff switch everything to outdoors. Fortunately, barring a slight drizzle for 2 minutes, the rain held off and the entire ceremony went smoothly. After the ceremony we all made our way back to the hotel for a 7 course Italian feast, and then the party continued at a bar in Lenno.
I truly had an awesome time documenting Shinal and Shalin’s wedding along with their amazing family and friends, who made me and Yanny (Kat Films) feel like a part of their celebration throughout. It was a perfect Lake Como wedding, and I was so glad to be a part of it.
