Tenuta di Artimino Indian Wedding // Rupika & Jitesh

Rupika & Jit’s Indian destination wedding at Tenuta di Artimino in Tuscany was an unforgettable few days of celebration. Set in the Tuscan countryside, where the hills are laced with vineyards and olive groves, Tenuta di Artimino was the perfect backdrop for Rupika and Jit’s wedding. I’m always humbled when i’m asked to shoot a destination wedding, it’s always special, even more so when you’re asked to photograph in one of favourite places on this planet – Tuscany. 

Just like weddings in the UK – destination weddings for me are all about the people. Rupika & Jit’s wedding was no different, you could see from the get go, they are the best of friends, the crazy amount of fun they have with each other, along with how amazing all their family and friends are, made for an incredible three day wedding in Tuscany. 

The first day was their Welcome Party / Sangeet night, which was filled with incredible dance performances by Rupika and Jit’s friends, along with an epic party culminating with a lot of the guests jumping into the swimming pool! This set the tone for the rest of the events, I knew it was going to be epic and truly was. 

The next day was Rupika & Jit’s civil wedding, which was set by the steps of the Belvedere, which made for an extremely grand entrance when Rupika walked down towards Jit with her dad, which was made even more special as one of her bridesmaids sang her entrance song. After the ceremony, the formal family photos and lunch, everyone had the whole afternoon to themselves. Rupika and Jit purposely kept an afternoon free so everyone could relax and enjoy the beautiful grounds at Tenuta di Artimino. However Rupika and Jit’s friends had other idea’s and instead had a mini pool party in the villa’s! 

The last day was their Indian wedding and reception. Their Hindu wedding ceremony was full of joy, love, full of tradition, packed full of small moments between Rupika and Jit, everything you want from a wedding celebration. After the ceremony, we snuck off for a few portraits before Rupika said her goodbyes during the vidhai and drove off with Jit into the Tuscan hills together.

After the wedding was over, everyone went off to change for the evening, a night full of amazing food, wine, amazing moments from the speeches (especially Jit’s! – a speech I won’t forget in a hurry) right through to the crazy party. Rupika and Jit’s wedding was pure fun right from the beginning, exactly the way they wanted it to be.
