We are dying the amazement. You were everywhere capturing everything! And the photos are not only beautiful but just perfect in getting the essence of the day, thank you so much!
Landmark Hotel Indian Wedding & Reception
It was a real pleasure to photograph Shobhna & Bharat’s Indian wedding at the exquisite Landmark Hotel in London. The Landmark Hotel in London’s Marylebone, is a five star luxury hotel, and was the perfect choice for Shobhna and Bharat’s Hindu wedding and reception. It was my first time, photographing at the Landmark Hotel, and I fell in love with the high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers and the grandeur of the venue, the perfect backdrop for any wedding.
I arrived early at The Landmark Hotel, to capture some photo’s of Shobhna getting ready. Most bride’s normally get ready with the help of a make-up artist, but Shobhna, entrusted this job to her best friends, which made the images of her getting ready extra special. After spending a bit of time with Shobhna and her besties, I went down the street to document the arrival of Bharat to the wedding venue. And normally, groom’s enter with their family and friends, with the help some dhol players making some noise outside The Landmark Hotel, but not Bharat, he had a traditional bagpipe player instead, which was super cool! Already this was turning out to be an amazing day at The Landmark Hotel, and it wasn’t even in full gear yet.
Once Bharat, made his entrance along with the Milni, he entered into the Mandap, and waited for Shobhna, to be escorted into the room, for the ceremony to officially begin. The ceremony, was full of tradition, emotion and a lot of laughter from Shobhna & Bharat. These guys have an amazing sense of humour, and infectious smiles, which made for a brilliant atmosphere throughout the Hindu ceremony.
After the ceremony concluded, we took some family photos, and a few portraits around The Landmark Hotel, before these two, headed back to their rooms, to get ready for the Civil ceremony and the reception. The Civil ceremony, which was attended by just their nearest and dearest, was full of humour too, thanks to one of the best registrars, i’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. After the civil, everyone made their way to the drinks reception, and joined the other guests, that were drinking cocktails and champagne, with a live Indian musical quartet providing the musical backdrop in the Marble Room of The Landmark Hotel.
Everyone was then called into the reception room to take their seats, before Shobhna & Bharat made their grand entrance. After that, it was a night of food, speeches, dance performances and a lot of dancing at The Landmark Hotel! An awesome moment of the night, was when Shobhna sang ‘Ribbon In The Sky’ to Bharat, their first dance song, her amazing voice, gave everyone goosebumps around the room, including myself. There so many awesome moments throughout the whole day, it was such a pleasure to capture, alongside David from Zenith Cinema.
Massive congratulations to Shobhna and Bharat, thank you once again for choosing me to capture your special day. Here are my favourite moments from their Indian wedding at The Landmark Hotel in London.

A true 5-star hotel – The Landmark London
Luxury, grand, glamorous are just a few words to describe The Landmark London, a world class hotel in the heart of London. It was originally opened in 1899 and since then has established very high standards of magnificence and luxury. The Landmark London, was opened by members of the Royal Family, as part of its illustrious heritage. The Landmark, is located directly across from London’s Marylebone station, and the entrance to Regent’s Park is just a few minutes walk away too.
The Landmark London was designed around the famous courtyard which allowed in plenty of light, perfect for wedding photos of course, but even more so provided a dramatic entrance with its glass roof, palm trees, lush plants, street style lamps and airy interior of its Winter Garden. The place is always busy with hotel guests, or tourists enjoying afternoon tea, accompanied by a harpist or the piano. Everything in the Winter Garden is immaculately maintained, is a great place to relax before or after your wedding day.
Style and Character – The perfect venue
The Landmark London has a variety of spaces to suit all types and sizes of weddings. I’ve photographed here plenty of times especially in the Grand Ballroom which can seat upto 500 guests. The Grand Ballroom is one of my favourite spaces in the hotel, the large bright space, which its floor to ceiling windows allow for plenty of light, and suit my natural documentary wedding photography style. And in the evening the Grand Ballroom, can be transformed into a wonderful reception space, with its large chandeliers and the intricate Victorian detailing on the ceiling.
There are of course plenty of other spaces too, the Marble Room, is also ideal for larger weddings, along with its chandeliers, oranate mouldings and beautiful chandeliers. The large marble pillars are very impressive too, its a beautifully grand space perfect for ceremonies or receptions.
The Drawing Room, is a lovely space for civil ceremonies, it has wonderful oak panelling throughout the room, and plenty of wooden art dotted around too, along with wood carvings.
Around The Landmark Hotel
If you’re coming from outside of London, its definitely worth staying for a few days at this grand hotel. Hotel guests may also splurge in a sumptuous afternoon tea at the hotel’s High Palms High Tea, a cocktail at The Mirror Bar, or a cup of coffee at Garden Terrace. There’s also an award winning spa for you to enjoy too.
If you want to get out and about there’s plenty of things to do nearby the hotel, London Zoo is a 30min walk away through the beautiful Regents Park, whilst tourist attractions such as Madame Tussauds and the Sherlock Holmes Museum are only a short 10min walk from the hotel.
If you fancy catching a quick cab ride or even walking London’s main shopping area, Oxford Street and Regent Street isn’t too far either. So there’s definitely plenty of things to see, do or buy.
