Vaishali & Amit’s Indian wedding at the Royal Lancaster hotel in London, was an an amazing day full of joy, happiness and love – my favourite things to capture at any wedding. Vaishali and Amit booked me after seeing Neha & Rajan’s wedding at Royal Lancaster on my blog, they told me they loved my photos, booked me and the rest is history.
I hadn’t met Vaishali or Amit before until the wedding day itself, but i knew from our telephone conversations we would get on like a house on fire and we did! I arrived early in the morning at the Royal Lancaster to capture Vaishali getting ready, before heading outside to photography Amit’s arrival. With London being London it was raining during his arrival, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and everyone danced away for his Jaan in the hotel lobby.
After Amit’s entrance and being welcomed by Vaishali’s family, who led Amit to the mandap, it was time for Vaishali to make her own grand entrance. During the ceremony Vaishali and Amit were brimming with smiles, which radiated through the ballroom. There were so many little-big moments between these two, it was just a joy to capture. After the ceremony we headed outside in to Hyde Park for some portraits and just about managed to dodge the rain that came down as we got back inside.
Once back at the Royal Lancaster London it was time for Vaishali and Amit to complete their ceremony with the Koda Kodi, and then Vaishali said goodbye to her family with the Vidaai.
After the wedding formalities were completed, everyone went off to change for the evening, a night full of more amazing moments from the speeches right through to the dancing till the early hours. The perfect way to end an incredible wedding day.
Its always a pleasure documenting a wedding with so much love and emotion. Congratulations Vaishali and Amit, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day, it was an honour. Now on to some of my favourite images from their Indian wedding and reception at the Royal Lancaster hotel.
