Gita and Arun’s big fat Asian Wedding at Ditton Manor, was my first time shooting at this gorgeous venue. Ditton Manor, is probably one of Berkshire’s best kept secrets, nestled in a beautiful setting, just outside of London, this was the perfect choice for Gita & Arun’s Hindu wedding.
The day before their wedding, it had been pouring with rain, but Gita and Arun, were adamant that they wanted their wedding outside, and they made the decision early in the morning, a gamble in this crazy British weather, but a gamble that paid off big time! They whole day was gorgeous and sunny, full of emotion, happiness, smiles and of course spiritual Indian wedding traditions.
Arun, is a an amazing Dhol player, drumming every weekend at weddings for other couples, so naturally, on his wedding day he had to go bigger, with no less than 6 brass musicians and 6 dhol players, making sure Gita could hear that he had arrived with a bang, and was ready to get married. Arun and Gita’s wedding was brilliant from start to finish, these two were so relaxed throughout the day, and enjoyed every moment. Their wedding reception is one I won’t forget anytime soon, the dj setup was crazy, ready for an immense party, and boy it definitely did not disappoint. Arun, played a set with his dhol colleagues, whilst Gita performed a surprise dance for him! Arun and Gita, are crazily in love, which was reflected in Arun’s heartfelt honest speech.
I was lucky to be asked to document their wedding, I had such an amazing time with you, your families and friends, I wish you guys all the best and happiness for the future!
