Savoy Beach Hotel Paestum | Indian Wedding

On to part two, of Samy & Priyesh’s epic wedding in Paestum, Italy. If you haven’t check out the photo’s from day one, their traditional Italian wedding ceremony, go here. Right, on to the next two days of this wedding celebration, which was at the luxurious Savoy Beach Hotel in Paestum.

Day two, consisted of Samy and Priyesh’s Vidhi, a pre-wedding ceremony, that generally occurs the day before the wedding, consisting of ancient traditions which are spiritual and some fun traditions too, namely, the Pithi ceremony. After the Vidhi ceremony, everyone had a much needed break and rest, before the evening’s white party themed Mehndi night.

The Mehndi night, filled with dances, games, ladies getting their henna done and of course more partying, which was just as crazy and went on till 4am, at which point, it had to be cut off. Everyone remaining would’ve carried on partying, but the following day’s wedding ceremony, was an early start for all.

Day Three, the Hindu wedding ceremony, started with everyone wearing their sunglasses to hide the previous nights partying, Priyesh’s side congregated at the front of the Savoy Beach hotel, ready for the Bharaat. Priyesh on his Vespa, with his family and friends alongside him to greet Samy’s families. Following their traditional Hindu wedding ceremony, it was time for everyone to change outfits one last time and get ready for the evening’s wedding reception.

The wedding reception, was another feast of Italian food, another 8 courses. In between the courses, were the speeches, the evening’s dinner didn’t finish until 2am, it was super relaxed, Italian style. This is probably the latest cake cutting i’ve ever photographed, it was 2.30am by the time the cake was cut, and the first dance was at 2.45am! You would assume everyone would be tired by now, but not this crowd, everyone partied until the sun came up, this wedding was full of craziness and awesome people.

Finally, thank you so much to Samy and Priyesh, you guys gave an unforgettable experience to everyone, this wedding was truly the coming together of two families from the UK and Italy, and it was a privilege to document it for you. The entire three days was filled with emotion, laughs, traditions and love, a wedding definitely one for the books, I don’t think i’ve ever been so tired after a wedding before.
