Top London Wedding Photographer 2022 | The Story So Far

We came across Rahul on social media and looooved his work. However it was really important to us that we had a great vibe with our suppliers too for our wedding – Rahul was PERFECT! From our very first chat on the phone, to meeting in person, pre shoot and the day itself. Rahul knew exactly what we wanted, helped us plan our day, encouraged us to go ahead with some ideas that we doubted and helped the day flow perfectly. We have shared photos with our family and we all agree that the photos capture the memories in a way that feels so magical. As a one man band, it is surprising how many shots are captured – the reactions to speeches, the small moments of joy on peoples faces, every tiny detail, even things that didn’t seem important on the day, hold a special place through Rahul’s photos.

On a personal note – the portraits were a nerve wracking moment for us due to our own insecurities, however, looking at these pictures now and even thinking about how the photos were taken – it never once felt tedious and the photos have come out so beautifully, it fills our own self esteem!

Rahul is honestly the best photographer we have come across and our friends and family are grateful for his shots too – the wedding memories will always live on because of how well Rahul captured our day.

Wow, can’t believe it’s already the middle of July 2022! Time has flown by so fast, I’m still trying to process all the wonderful weddings I’ve had the honour to document so far.

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph some amazing weddings all over the UK and London in the past six months. It was really tough narrowing down my favourite shots for this compilation, and there are lots of other great ones that didn’t make the final cut.

I hope you enjoy this selection from the first half of 2022, but please know that it wasn’t easy putting it together. There are tons of other incredible shots out there from the past 6 months.

I really do believe wedding photographs have a life of their own. There is so much emotion stored in each one that they have the power to evolve their meaning as time passes, acquiring more nuances and depth. It’s true for both portraits and other kinds of moments, and I’ve tried to strike a balance of showing both here. Every one of them would look incredible framed and on display – and hopefully most of them are!

Kind Words From A Recent London Wedding in 2022

Where to begin! Rahul has been fantastic from start to finish. The very first consultation was easy, smooth, and Rahul guided us through his services and how he operates, without any hard sell or up-selling. We wanted someone to take as many candid shots of us as possible (alongside the usual poses etc), and Rahul was clear he would do so.

On the day of the wedding and reception, Rahul took some amazing shots throughout the day and operated without any fuss at all. He didn’t interrupt the ceremony at all, he just clicked away in the background and got some spectacular shots. At times you forgot he was clicking away, he just kept capturing. Some of the action shots from my Jaan arrival were truly epic.

When he took us away for the portraits, he was quick, efficient and got lots of shots in a short space of time. This was important for us as we wanted to ensure we had enough time to get changed for the reception. Some of the shots were insane…and especially of my wife! The portraits were casual and chilled out. Rahul kept it light hearted and even for someone as stiff as me, he got me to relax and look natural.

He took some great shots at the reception and really captured all of the awkward dancing in action! But again, he moved in the background and just kept snapping away.

Rahul is also incredibly quick at turning images around. after the wedding ceremony / portraits, he prepared images to be presented on our DJ screens within only 2 hours. These pictures were amazing and genuinely all our guests were stunned at the speed and importantly the quality. He then also sent us a blog reel within 12 hours of the event finishing the next day. The quality of this video is unreal. It gave us an easy way to share the day with family who couldn’t be there and a nice little review of our day.

Finally, what we were most impressed with, was the fact he did all of this SOLO! Yes, it was just him on the day. He glided around between each key event, each key person, on his own. He didn’t miss a beat! Captured every moment with precision and quality.

My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Rahul is a fantastic photographer and the quality of his pictures were unreal. I would recommend him 10x over to anyone getting married…or any other event you want him to capture! He also interacts seamlessly with the other suppliers!

I can still remember taking each and every one, being part of a wedding is an emotional experience in and of itself. I couldn’t be happier with the photographs I’ve produced, or more grateful to the wonderful people who have given me the honour of inviting me to their big day, and the responsibility of recording everything for generations to come. Of course, looking back at the first of 2022 also means looking forward to what’s in store for the rest of the year. As cliche as it sounds, once again I feel like I have the best possible job in the world, thank you to all my couples who put their faith in me.
